The CAC Presents “Arte y Alma”

An exhibit showcasing the diversity of Hispanic artistic expression is on display at the Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/ Douglas County (CAC) from October 9-November 19, 9 am – 5 pm. The exhibit’s title “Arte y Alma” translates to Art and Soul, referencing the interplay between personal and culturally-influenced inspiration that informs the work of these Latin artists.

The CAC selected five Hispanic artists to present work in the “Arte y Alma” exhibit. They were chosen for the quality and cohesion of their work in service to the exhibit’s cultural theme. Together they form a wide variety of cultural perspectives related to the Hispanic experience. All share a passion for form, color, and variety, their pieces ranging from colorful portraits to abstract paintings and modern sculptures. All of the selected pieces reflect the ability of art to both encapsulate and inform culture.
