Biennial Douglas County Art Guild Exhibit

Douglasville, Georgia – The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) presents the Douglas County Art Guild Biennial exhibit 2026. The exhibit, on view from May 5-June 23, features works by local artists and craftspeople in one of the year’s most eclectic collections. The exhibit is available for tours weekdays, 9 am – 5 pm, with an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, May 7, 6-8 pm, hosted by Great Point Studios/Lionsgate with food provided by Sankofa Catering and Special Events. 

The exhibit includes photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood art, mixed media, recycled art, pottery, drawing, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint, and some surprises in between. Over 20 artmakers will present nearly 100 works of art to inspire visitors through May and June. The variety of the collection reflects the guild’s inclusiveness, which supports all forms of visual art.

If you are an artist wanting to connect with other artists in the area, the Douglas County Art Guild offers informative lectures, notable speakers andDCAG Sculptures educational demonstrations which bond and inspire its members. Currently presided over by Linda Britt, the Guild, founded in 1973, is an organization composed of practicing artists and friends of the visual arts in Douglas County. The organization’s mission is to promote community arts as a whole while advancing individual local artists through networking and exhibition opportunities.
