Kwanzaa Celebration

This year, the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is stocked to the brim with holiday activities for everyone! From holiday shopping, art classes that inspire winter memories, cultural programs like the Kwanzaa Celebration, and even a winter-themed youth art gallery, the CAC is an excellent destination for holiday fun. Kwanzaa, or “First Fruits of the Harvest” in Swahili, is a weeklong celebration of African American culture, traditions, history, and community. Each day of the holiday represents a guiding principle: unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith. Celebrate the holiday with the CAC and the Douglas County Connection on December 14, 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM at the CAC.
