Mystery Theatre Camp: Whodunit at the CAC?

Class Description: Join us for an exciting mystery theatre camp where young actors become detectives. Participants will work together to solve an original mystery through interactive clues, character development, teamwork, and theatrical performance. Students will learn acting techniques while also developing creativity, confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun, structured, and collaborative environment. The camp concludes on Day 5 with a live performance where families can watch the young actors present the mystery.
Students provide a daily: snack, water bottle, and a simple costume from home appropriate for their character and final performance.

Instructor Biography: Kelly Young-Silva is an Emmy Award-winning actor, producer, and acting coach, and the owner of Words In Motion Acting Studio. She has spent years training actors in film, television, commercial, and performance technique, with a strong focus on helping young performers build both craft and confidence. Kelly has extensive experience leading youth camps, workshops, and acting classes, and is known for creating structured, encouraging environments where students grow artistically while developing discipline, creativity, and collaboration skills. In addition to her work as an instructor, she has experience in production and casting support and is a certified child labor coordinator. Through Words In Motion Acting Studio, Kelly has helped develop actors of all ages while encouraging professionalism, imagination, and personal growth.
