CAC’s Pop Up Arts Shop – Versatile Artist Melissa Joe of Mable’s Baubles

The CAC strives to connect the Douglasville community to affordable, locally created products, and is proud to welcome Melissa Joe of Mable’s Baubles and her wide range of handcrafted products as September’s featured Pop Up Arts Shop artist! Specializing in collage, watercolor painting, designer notecards, and up-cycled jewelry, Melissa is a master across many art forms.

Melissa Joe was born in East Tennessee. A love of handmade things was cultivated by her grandmother, Mable, for whom Mable’s Baubles is named.  Melissa arrived in Douglasville in 1990 to pursue a career in education. During her 32-year tenure with the Douglas County School System, she filled the roles of teacher, assistant principal, principal, and central office administrator. Since Melissa’s retirement in 2022, she has immersed herself in many creative endeavors. In addition to the wide assortment of products available in the Pop Up Arts Shop, Melissa is available for custom orders of all her wares. She enjoys working with individual clients to produce personalized, one-of-a-kind creations.
