The CAC Presents “ODDITIES – An Exploration of Unusual Art”

An exhibit featuring unfamiliar and rare artistic mediums will be on display at the Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) from July 8 to August 21, 9 am – 5 pm. Focused on showcasing unusual art forms, the exhibit features evocative pieces that push the boundaries of their medium. From prints made from etched plates to creations made from found objects and latex, the works offer insight into different ways art can be created. This exhibit acknowledges the power of embracing nontraditional materials and modes when shaping a work.

The free opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 10th, from 6-8 pm and will feature refreshments and live music by local, experimental, electronic musician Laura Lane – The Mushroom is The Elf of Plants.
