The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party @ The CAC
March 14 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is ringing in the first hints of Spring with the return of The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, an annual tradition for more than 30 years. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, March 14th, from 11 am – 2 pm at the CAC house and gardens. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is a fun and creative opportunity for children from three (3) to ten (10) years of age to have an interactive day of play based on Lewis Carroll’s classic novel, Alice in Wonderland. Admission is $15 for each participant, young or old. CAC Members can purchase tickets at the discounted price of $10.
Alice in Wonderland-themed costumes are encouraged, and the CAC will be holding the annual Wonderland Bonnet Contest during which two prizes will be awarded for “Most Creative Costume” and for “Best You and Me (group) Costume.” In anticipation of the event, the CAC is offering a Bonnet Making Workshop on March 9th from 11 am-3 pm for those who want an edge in the competition. Children are reminded to bring baskets to collect their eggs at the egg hunt. The Cheshire Cat will wear a grin; the Mad Hatter will serve tea, and, knowing him, the White Rabbit will probably be late.
Tickets are required for this sell-out event. Call the Cultural Arts Council at 770-949-2787 for more information and to make your reservations. You can also visit the CAC website – https://www.artsdouglas.org/ madhatter/ and buy your tickets online.
