Forest Meditation and Sound Bowl Experience at Pine Mountain Gold Museum
September 14, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Pine Mountain Gold Museum is pleased to announce that we will offer a unique meditation experience this fall. On September 14, 2024, the Museum will host its first-ever Shinrin-Yoku! Shinrin-Yoku is a special guided therapeutic meditation focused on relaxation and conscious sensory engagement with the forest. In the West, Shinrin-Yoku is translated from Japanese as “forest-bathing.” Shinrin-Yoku is proven to elevate mood, sharpen focus, and reduce stress levels.
Specially trained and knowledgeable instructors will lead the Shinrin-Yoku, consisting of two short hikes, guided meditation, and a unique sound sensory experience combining sound bowls and onsite historic structures.
The experience will start at 5:30 PM and last approximately an hour and a half. All participants must meet at the fire ring no later than 5:30 PM to avoid being left behind. Once the experience starts, you cannot join the group.
Reservations are required for all participants. Reservations are free but limited to 20 total participants. All participants must be a minimum of 18 years old. For more information or to make a reservation for the experience, contact the Museum directly at 678.840.1445. No child care is provided.
