2024 Mosaic Multicultural Festival

The 3rd annual Mosaic: Multicultural Festival. This vibrant celebration of diverse cultures is set to take place on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 11 am – 4 pm. The Cultural Arts Center, located at 8652 Campbellton St., will open its historic house, grounds, and butterfly garden to welcome all who attend.

This year’s Mosaic Multicultural Festival will feature a culturally rich set of food, art, and craft vendors. Guests will enjoy spiritual music from The Band | Contemporary, African drumming from The Youth Villages Drummers, Pakistani music from Asif Sinan, Reggae vibes from Ishmael I, and a tour around the world with “The History of the Ukulele” from the West Georgia Ukulele Ensemble. In addition, Sheena Thrasher will join us for an interpretive dance performance.

Food vendors represent a broad range of cultures, including Southern BBQ from DemGirlz Ribtips LLC, Caribbean jerk from Levi’s Jerk Pit, vegan Jamaican food from Bomboclaat Vegan Yaad, Polish and American classics from Sharberry Kitchen, award-winning Columbian empanadas from Vivi’s Empanadas, frozen tropical island drinks from The Coconut Hut, Italian refreshment from Hermana’s Italian Ice, globally delicious cookies from Tyrrific Treats, and Taiwanese-style bubble tea from FruiTeabubbles Café.

Art vendors have chosen to represent countries from Ireland to Haiti and plenty of regions in between. Learn about the cultural significance of pinecones, the jewelry and fashion of ancient Egypt, the story of Ireland, African American Western culture, and so much more. Each visitor will receive a travel guide to keep track of the various “countries” they visit during the day, and they will vote for the best booth at the event.
