The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is the world's biggest sporting event, bringing people together across cultures and countries through a shared love of soccer.
Douglas County is excited to host Watch the Cup Douglas, a community watch party open to both our residents and visitors from across the region. It’s a chance to bring that global energy right here at home while also welcoming others to experience everything our county has to offer.
At its core, “Watch the Cup Douglas” is about connection, creating a space where people can come together, enjoy the excitement of the matches, and experience the hospitality and spirit that define our community.
Whether you’re coming from out of town or across town, we’re glad you’re here. Come watch, celebrate, and experience Douglas County with us.

Is the event free?
Yes. Registration is required via Eventbrite.
Is this event family-friendly?
Absolutely. There will be activities for all ages, including a kids’ corner with rides, games, and mini matches.
Are food and drinks available?
Yes. A variety of food and beverage vendors will be onsite.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No outside food or beverages are allowed.
- One factory-sealed water bottle (up to 20 oz) will be provided upon request
- Exceptions: medically necessary items and baby food/formula (subject to inspection)
- You may bring an empty refillable water bottle.
Can I bring a cooler?
No. Coolers of any kind are not permitted.
Can I re-enter if I leave?
No. This is a no-re-entry event. Once you exit, your ticket is no longer valid (except for verified emergencies).
Are there prohibited items?
Yes. Prohibited items include:
- Weapons that would otherwise be prohibited by law, fireworks, alcohol, drugs, illegal substances, and glass containers
- Professional cameras, laser pointers, and large banners
- Flammable or hazardous materials
- Tents, personal shelters, canopies, and large beach umbrellas
What is the pet policy?
Pets are not allowed. Service animals are welcome (as defined by ADA guidelines).
What is the weather policy?
Events will proceed as scheduled unless weather conditions pose a safety risk. Updates will be communicated through official event channels.
Is there accessible seating and parking?
Yes. Accessible parking and accommodations will be available onsite.
Are clear bags required?
Yes. A clear bag policy will be strictly enforced.
To help ensure a safe and efficient entry process, only the following bags are permitted:
- Clear bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC) not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc-style)
- Small non-clear clutch bags (with or without a handle or strap), limited to a small size
All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
Guests who arrive with prohibited bags will be asked to return them to their vehicles. Please note, there will be no bag check or storage area available onsite.
What safety measures are in place?
Your safety is our priority. This event will include a coordinated public safety presence, supported by local law enforcement, emergency services, and event staff. Security screening will be in place at entry points, and all guests are expected to follow event guidelines, including prohibited items policies.
